Conferences
You can attend the Prison Seminar held at most Alpha Conferences
to find out more about running an Alpha course in your local
prison.
Being aware of the need for training, we are also holding
a series of Caring for Ex-Offenders Conferences to help churches
care in practical ways for ex-offenders who have completed
Alpha in prison.
The conference is for anyone from a church who would like
to be involved in working with prison chaplains to spread
the gospel in prisons and those wanting to support ex-offenders,
including church leaders, pastoral staff and those involved
in social action.
Seminars cover topics such as: discipleship and support;
rehabilitation and accommodation; employment; understanding
drug misuse; working with sex-offenders; working with young-offenders;
networking with other organisations.
The number of ex-offenders who would like to be linked with
churches is growing daily. We hope, through these regional
conferences, to increase our partnership with churches of
all denominations.
