Follow up after Alpha
"The functions of primary proclamation are to proclaim
the Gospel and call to conversion. Catechesis, distinct from
the primary proclamation, promotes and matures initial conversion,
educates the convert in the faith and incorporates him into
the Christian Community"
General Directory for Catechesis para 61
Alpha is only the first step
After attending an Alpha course many people want to continue
meeting in small groups to support each other and to continue
to deepen their faith.
For non-Catholics the ideal next step after Alpha would be
the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults).
The Alpha for Catholics Office is developing a library of
Catholic teaching videos and other resources to follow the
Alpha course
